Hybrid is Here to Stay.
71% of Columbus companies that offer hybrid said it is a long term reality of their workforce and only 3% are planning to eliminate remote work options in the next year.
The national trend tells us more companies will continue to move away from fully remote positions. According to a Pew Research article, the U.S. has seen an 8% decrease in teleworkable jobs being fully remote and an 6% increase in hybrid from 2022 to 2023.
The hybrid model comes with positives such as improved work-life balance and lower overhead costs. However, it can have negative impacts on collaboration and culture. To be successful in a hybrid model, it is important for leaders and HR managers to set clear expectations and build a culture of trust.
