How to Prepare for an Interview

here’s what to do.
Before the Interview:
- Make sure you have taken the steps to
polish your social media profiles.
- Research the company.
- Write down answers to practice interview questions and practice your responses (check out our list in grey!).
- Practice your “elevator pitch” in the mirror, to your friends, or on the phone.
- Contact your references and ask for their permission to be contacted by the hiring company.
*Bonus Points: Drive to the interview site the day before the interview to make sure you know where you’re going, where to park, etc.
Interview Day:
- Dress to impress. Wearing your most professional outfit won’t just make a great first impression, it will make you more confident going into the interview.
- Bring several printed copies of your resumé.
- Arrive at the interview location 10-15 minutes early.
After the Interview:
Don't forget to follow up with a thank you note!
*PRO TIP: a handwritten note is best and will help you stand out against other applicants.
